15 MINUTES of sex replaces 5 Kilometres of running!

You may have heard it said that 15 MINUTES of sex replaces 5 Kilometres of running!

This statement is true when considering the benefits of sex and running for the heart and blood vessels. There are over 900 different substances dissolved in human blood. Including many harmful ones, which have a way of sticking to the walls of blood vessels.

First of all it is the so-called harmful cholesterol. When it accumulates in certain places, blood clots form. The clots can open up. If a blood clot breaks off in an artery, it travels to the brain and causes a stroke. If the clot ruptures in a vein, it enters the heart muscle and causes a heart attack. Both conditions are characterised by high mortality and disability.

You may want to ask – what does sex have to do with it? Sex is a natural mechanism created to clear the blood vessels! Those who have frequent sex have good blood vessels and virtually no blood clots.

Sex is extremely beneficial to our health. Sex activates a variety of neurotransmitters that impact not only our brains but several other organs in our bodies. In addition, there is a strengthening of the heart muscle.

The benefits of sex include:

* Lower blood pressure
* Better immune system
* Better heart health, possibly including lower   risk for heart disease
* Improved self-esteem
* Decreased depression and anxiety
* Increased libido
* Immediate, natural pain relief
* Better sleep
* Increased intimacy and closeness to a sexual partner
* Overall stress reduction, both physiologically and emotional

Having sex alone through masturbation won’t stimulate the release of as much oxytocin or other mood-boosting hormones as having sex as part of a loving relationship.

There is no correct amount of sex to have, and the best frequency varies from person to person. Not having sex for a long time should not have negative health effects.

There is no right or wrong way to express sexual feelings, as long as everyone involved is clearly consenting. No one should ever feel obliged to have sex. Avoiding sex will not harm a person’s health, and it may even be healthy.

In 15 minutes of sex the blood vessels are as well cleared as in 5 km of running !
